What is automatic identifier stitching?

Several QUODD APIs include automatic identifier stitching,  a custom QUODD feature that can trace security identifiers back through various corporate actions and provide a complete timeline of events.

GlobalCorporateActions: Automatic identifier stitching of events traces identifiers back through various corporate actions and provides a complete timeline of events. For example, with an ISIN change, the old and new ISIN are stitched into the same timeline. Users can request corporate action-adjusted historical prices for events, such as splits and cash dividends. 

Automatic identifier stitching is also include in the  GlobalHistorical and GlobalQuotes APIs.
