Why are there multiple Takeover, Spinoff, and Merger events in the QUODD corporate actions API?
The Global Corporate Actions API provides corporate actions data including takeovers, spinoffs and mergers. With certain events you may see duplicates of these types of events. This is caused when the issuer announces more than one payment option for a shareholder.
For example, shareholders may be able to elect to be paid in shares or a cash amount. Possible values are Dissenters' Rights, Cash, Stock, and StockAndCash.
